Learn to ice skate on the very same site where Nottingham legends Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean once trained. Skating lessons at the National Ice Centre are available to people of all ages and abilities and lessons can be carried out intensively over three days or over a six-week period.
Tots skating lessons are also available for children aged under 5 (we recommend a minimum age of 24 months). Our experienced coaches will take your little ones from learning to stand on the ice to fully fledged skaters.
The skating courses consist of eight grades. Each grade must be completed before moving to the next.
As you progress through each grade, you are given the opportunity to learn how to speed skate, figure skate or play ice hockey – perfect for anyone who wants to try something new.
Certificates and badges are available to purchase upon successful completion of each grade – a perfect way to showcase your achievements.
Skating courses are backed by the National Ice Skating Association (NISA) – the UK Governing Body of British Ice Skating and your training will be carried out by professional coaches.
