The restaurant at the Hop Pocket allows you to enjoy morning coffee, a light farmhouse cooked lunch and of course the scrumptious homemade cakes. The food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises.
The Farmhouse Family Restaurant is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Lunches are served everyday they are open between 12pm and 2pm. Either side of lunch they serve coffee, tea and homemade cakes.
Sundays are all about a traditional roast and home made gravy. They have a child friendly menu and toddler friendly bowls.
When it comes to the cakes, they take the term “home made” seriously! Audrey and Ellen come in once or twice a week to bake the cakes, which makes them homemade AND scrumptious.
Fresh is Best!! They use the freshest, most local ingredients they can. All their meat comes from their own butcher Pete, his shop ëThe Cutting Blockí is just around the corner. Their bread comes from Ken at ‘The Baker’s Dozen’ a commercial bakery at The Hop Pocket.
The potatoes come from Russell Price down the road. Most of the rest of the grocery comes from Bookers in Hereford. Along with the food, Jane, Sue, Marilyn, Maggie and Margaret keep their service ‘fresh’.
