t the centre of it all is the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.
Situated on Waterside, alongside the River Avon, the 1,040-seat Royal Shakespeare Theatre is the main thrust stage auditorium.
A Grade II listed building which retains many of the art deco features of the 1932 Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, it re-opened in November 2010 after a three-year transformation project.
The Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres are open daily from 10am when you are welcome to explore. You can:

- Take a Theatre Tour
- Book a ticket to go up the Tower for stunning views of Shakespeare's home town
Of course you shouldn't make the visit without seeing a performance.
The RSC want to make sure as many people as possible have a great first experience of Shakespeare and theatre. They produce large-scale exciting stories at Christmas for families, specially created Shakespeare productions aimed at young people which tour to schools and theatres around the UK and short new plays by writers alive now who are are as exciting and daring as Shakespeare.
