Shropshire Raft Tours run scenic boat trips for ages 12 and above from Ironbridge to Bridgnorth throughout the season. The trips start at 9.30am in Ironbridge floating through the birthplace of the industrial revolution and travel down the river Severn enjoying picturesque Shropshire with scenic countryside the whole way to Bridgnorth. At the end of the trips you enjoy a BBQ in Severn park, Bridgnorth with picnic tables and blankets. They cater for vegetarians or any other dietary requirement on request. Group discounts are available for full boats of 16 people.
This is full day trip where you will be on the water between 4-5 hours. There are no stops along the way with toilet facilities provided before you set off and where you finish in Bridgnorth. The trip has a minimum age of 12 years due to running a very easy class 2 rapid at Jackfield.
The trip ventures through Ironbridge with all the character of this unique gorge and then onto the solace of Shropshire’s rural areas where you can sit back and relax before arriving in Bridgnorth. Passengers are welcome to experience rowing the largest rafts in the U.K but in no way is it compulsory. They provide snacks and drinks along the way plus a choice of veggie or angus beef burgers and hotdogs (Cumberland sausages) at the end of the trip together with a selection of salad, side dishes and desserts plus hot and cold drinks in Severn Park, Bridgnorth.
