A song of summer: Arthur Honegger steps out of his chalet and watches the morning sunlight spreading across the Swiss Alps. Johannes Brahms relaxes by a mountain lake and writes a symphony that seems to bask in the warmth of an August afternoon. And far away in France, Ravel remembers lost friends, in a sweet, sad tribute to the French baroque. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla will make every note glow.
